Tawqi3i Cross-Region Disaster Recovery on AWS

CirrusGo helped tawqi3i, an e-signature platform, protect its customers from a major outage. A standby environment in a second AWS Region can now restore full service in minutes, well within the 4-hour target, at a fraction of the cost of running two platforms.

tawqi3i is an electronic signature and document workflow platform. Individuals, businesses and partner systems use it to sign contracts, approve documents and run signing workflows. When tawqi3i is down, customers can’t close deals, onboard clients or finish approvals, and they feel it straight away.

As more customers built tawqi3i into their daily operations, keeping the service available became a business commitment as well as a technical goal. The whole platform ran in a single geographic location, so one major outage there could stop service for every customer at once. tawqi3i had no tested way to recover from that, and could not tell customers how long a recovery would take or how much data they might lose.
